Corydon Senior Lofts
Project Summary
The old Boys & Girls club or old jr/highschool was renovated with 25 new apartments for senior living. Shireman Construction also built a new facility directly behind the old building to house 20 additional apartments.
What was once a Junior and Senior High School from 1928-1985 is now a beautiful home for seniors 55 and over. Some residents are living in their old classroom! This project provides affordable downtown housing. The apartments are located on East Chestnut Street across the street from what will become the new Rice Island Park.

It is rare that we work with a CM that shows the concern for the client that Shireman and their people do. The follow-up after substantial completion on the project was outstanding, the best of any construction manager we have ever worked with.

Every job requires political savvy, regardless of whether the government is involved or not. Shireman knows how to effectively deal with multiple publics and to bring them all together to get the job done.

In my 25 years as an Architect, I have found Shireman to be one of the finest G.C. and Construction Managers in the State. When problems arise, they will not walk away. Instead, they find a reasonable solution for everyone involved.
