The jail was built in 1992 and made to house 134 inmates. A few years later, beds were double-bunked to fit 234 inmates. The jail now houses around 300 inmates. But as the jail population has grown, the facility’s infrastructure hasn’t kept up. Shireman Construction evaluated the jail in March 2015, and the grim findings were presented to the county commissioners. Shireman Construction is currently in Phase I of the project which consists of repairing the more urgent parts of the facility.
We are entrusted Shireman with our $16.8 million jail and courthouse project . We believe that communication is the key and we would rate them as ‘Excellent’ in that and many other areas.
We found Shireman to be responsible to our questions and needs and they did an excellent job of overall management of this project, protecting both the interests of the County and the users of the facility.
I would recommend this group since the Clark County Jail Holding Corporation made the decision to entrust Shireman with our $16.9 million dollar jail addition and renovation project. I personally do not know what we would have done without them.
Let's discussyour project.
