Optum Medical Building

Project Summary

Shireman developed a medical office building in Purdue’s Research Park in New Albany, Indiana. This building started at 31,888 sq ft. Optum, a Fortune 500 tenant, had signed for 26,800 sq ft of the space. This was the first Class A office space developed in years in Floyd County.
As construction progressed, Optum saw major investment from local providers and the project was expanded to 48,232 sq ft.

The facility houses general practice and research facility rooms with 18 providers, and 50+ employees. Services include: urgent care, general practitioners, cancer care, orthopedics, spine care, respiratory therapy and nephrology.

Shireman hit the key deadline and finished the project under budget while simultaneously keeping a major corporation and Purdue satisfied.
