Harrison County Government Center

Project Summary

This $15M project included the total renovation of the old Harrison County Hospital campus. The outdated, 1950s hospital was converted into bright spacious county government offices. Shireman was tasked with blending old with new construction components. Despite the challenges of dealing with asbestos and trying to update an older building, we were able to bring the project in $700,000 under budget by obtaining set quotes from subcontractors. Because of asbestos, we had to work closely with the architect and asbestos consultants. In order to achieve this, we broke the project into phases and sequenced it so there were no delays in construction.
